TIMBREROOTS
(EPK)

WE are happy to announce the release of the new single

“Take Me Back”
out on 13th February 2026

Timbreroots start the year 2026 with their first new single of the year.

“Take Me Back” is a deeply emotional and melancholic Indie-Folk song that portrays nostalgia not only in a romantic light, but in all of its facets. With their characteristic Timbresound, multi-layered harmonies, and ethereal sounds, Timbreroots create an intimate atmosphere that looks back with gratitude and forward with hope.

The song captures the longing for first experiences, childhood carefreeness, and newly discovered days. At the same time, it also shows the darker side of nostalgia: this includes holding on to faded memories, past mistakes, and old friendships, which weigh us down like “stained wings” and leave no room for new things. But instead of staying in melancholy, the track opens the door to a gentle letting go, accompanied by a “gentle breeze” that makes a fresh start possible with ease.

Bene, band leader and leadsinger says about the single: “It’s a musical journey to moments in the own past, when the world seemed more magical and lighter, curiosity was endless, and every free minute was fully enjoyed, day by day”.

“Take Me Back” marks the first step into a year full of new music, a song for everyone who longs for simplicity and at the same time wants to find the courage to move forward. The song will be released with a bespoke music video, to be released on 13/02/2026. For the lovers of: Bon Iver, Ben Howard & Hollow Coves.

The First-Ever Cover by Timbreroots

New Release: “Fix You” (Coldplay)

Timbreroots are thrilled to share their very first official cover: “Fix You” by Coldplay, released on October 24, 2025.
This song holds a deeply personal meaning for the band:

“‘Fix You’ isn’t just another cover for me. I’ve learned so much from this song — musically and personally. It’s the only cover that still gives me goosebumps every single time I perform it, as if it were the first time. There have even been moments when people told me that our version helped heal something inside them. That’s what makes this song so special to me — and why it had to be our very first cover release.” – Bene from Timbreroots

With their version of “Fix You”, Timbreroots hope to share a bit of healing and light — wherever it’s needed most.

OUR NEWEST ALBUM

Timbreroots presents "Heartbeat Chronicles" – A Resonant Manifesto of Connection

With their new album Heartbeat Chronicles, set to be released on April 25, 2025, the South Tyrolean indie-folk band Timbreroots takes their audience on an emotional journey. The album blends deep reflections on self-discovery, community, and change with an engaging mix of folk, alternative rock, and Americana. The newly released track The Tune We Hum serves as the musical centerpiece of Heartbeat Chronicles, conveying its core message: music connects, transcends boundaries, and fosters a sense of togetherness.

An Album Full of Emotion and Depth

Heartbeat Chronicles follows a protagonist who initially remains in their comfort zone. Songs like My Own Bubble use playful melodies to paint a picture of carefree self-delusion. However, this seemingly perfect world begins to crumble in Madness—dark guitar riffs and powerful drums mirror the inner turmoil. What follows is a journey of self-awareness: Colourful Timbres marks a moment of reflection, while There’s Still Light represents the turning point toward active change. Through Empty Hands highlights letting go as the key to growth before The Tune We Hum ultimately celebrates a sense of community and connection. The title track, Heartbeat, concludes the album with a guitar piece—serving as a conciliatory epilogue to an impressive transformation.

Bene and the Unique Timbrevibe

Behind Timbreroots is Bene (Benedikt Sanoll), an exceptional singer and fingerstyle guitarist. His musical journey began in the picturesque vineyards of South Tyrol, where he took his first creative steps alongside his brother Philipp and close friends. Inspired by artists like John Butler, Bon Iver, and Jacob Collier, Bene developed the distinctive "Timbrevibe"—a fusion of indie folk, alternative rock, Britpop, and orchestral elements. His songs are more than just music; they tell stories that deeply resonate with listeners.

"Every person is a single tone with unique timbres and roots. When these tones come together in harmonious symphony, they create an atmosphere of community where everyone can feel welcome and at home." – Bene

Live on the Heartbeat Chronicles Tour 2025

To celebrate the album release, Timbreroots is going on tour, bringing the magic of their music to stages across Europe. Whether through intimate acoustic sessions or electrifying concert experiences, the band knows how to captivate their audience. Bene performs both as a solo artist— with guitar, stompbox, and loop station—and alongside his longtime bandmates Philipp, Thomas, Sebi, and Simon, whose musical talents create an unparalleled soundscape.

Fans can look forward to unforgettable evenings where music and emotions become one.
